Meg + Kate Engagement Story

Oh man, I have so much love for these two and had so much fun getting to know them and document their love during their engagement session.  Kate + Megan are two incredible women that have such big hearts for others, their adorable pups, and most importantly each other.  They met in the most millennial way, on Tinder of course. After meeting up for drinks, their instant connection had them chatting for 5+ hours and completely missing dinner. They love cooking, hiking, and exploring new cities together and appreciate a good glass of local whiskey. 

They got “officially” engaged on a hiking trip in Shenandoah when they were both secretly waiting to propose at the top of the mountain hike. Before they even reached the top, Kate ended up proposing first! To her surprise after Megan said yes, she handed Kate a stack of letters from her friends and family who are spread out across the country and couldn’t be there in person to celebrate with them. The last letter was from Megan to Kate asking her to marry her too – the sweetest double proposal! 

We started out their engagement session at a location that was special to them because it was the spot of their first unofficial engagement. While out one night at a local distillery – The Ready Room at Old Line Distillery in Baltimore – they had a few glasses of whiskey and Kate proposed to Megan four times :). They still smile and laugh thinking about that night and wanted to capture their love for the city and that fun part of their story as well. We finished the engagement session at the beautiful North Point State Park near Baltimore. We got to walk across the beach waterfront and long pier together and soak in the warm, salty air.

I already can’t wait for their romantic, industrial wedding at The Accelerator Space in Baltimore, Maryland this fall. K+M said “Having everyone in one space will be really something special. We’re excited to share our cheesy love with them and dance the night away!”
