Kat and Jose’s Washington, D.C. Micro-wedding at the D.C. War Memorial was everything you could want from a classic Washington D.C. wedding. On a gorgeous spring day during the peak bloom of the cherry blossom festival, they shared their vows under the canopy of the D.C. War Memorial. The beautiful cherry blossoms were the perfect backdrop to showcase their sweet love for one another.
I can’t think of a more iconic way to elope in DC than to get married during cherry blossom season at one of the classic memorials. The D.C. War Memorial is one of a few locations where you can get married on the National Mall, and each location requires a wedding permit and adhering to certain restrictions. The DCWM is my personal favorite ceremony site because of the ability to have your ceremony under cover which means that you also have protection from inclement weather and it’s gorgeous in any season.
