Wooded Trail Adventure Engagement Session

Dan + Christine Engagement Session

Dan & Christine are two of the sweetest humans and they are genuinely so in love it makes your heart burst. They are warm and kind in a way that makes you feel like you’ve known them for years even when you first meet. When we met for their engagement session they wanted to go to a place that’s held a lot of significance to them throughout their relationship. We pulled off the side of the road and walked onto a path that felt so unique and hidden you’d miss it if you didn’t know where to look for it. I loved that they weren’t afraid to go off the beaten path and do something that felt like THEM and go somewhere that held so much meaning to them. As we walked down the trails, they told me about all the times they’d come here before. On this path is where Dan carved their initials into a tree and proposed, and every year since they’ve gone back on their anniversary to carve a new heart. Their wedding date will be on their fifth anniversary, and I can’t wait for them to carve that special heart into their tree. <3

From Christine… “Dan and I were playing in a worship band together when I was a senior in high school. He was 20 when I was 17 and he was out in the real world playing music in bars and running sounds all around Baltimore. I thought he was so sweet and attractive but way too cool for me. For have a few times when we were able to talk a bit and one evening after practice we were talking for hours in a parking lot, sitting in our separate cars and he played guitar and sang a song for me. Pretty soon I found the kind of courage I had never had before and I asked him to go to prom with me. He hugged me and said yes. We were so comfortable with each other and happy that a friend of mine asked me if I thought we would get married and I said yes. We talked so candidly and honestly with each other and made the decision to take this relationship seriously even though I was months from going away to college. In November of my junior year, he proposed by writing “will you marry me?” on a tree that had our initials on it”
